Alhamdullilah, we thank Allah (SWT) best of the year ahead filled with the love of Ahlulbayt, their obedience and strength of Iman.
Asalam o alaykum
Welcome to 4th Grade, a class filled with joyful learning, positivity, and growth guided by the principles and love of Allah, our Holy Prophet, and the Ahlulbayt! My guiding philosophy of education is to create a safe, sharing classroom where each child is able to unlock their potential and be an active, productive member of their class community. I believe that each child has their own uniqueness and brings something special to their own education as long as we provide them an environment to explore and share their ideas and guide them to be accepting and tolerant of the differences of others. To create this class atmosphere, I use strategies such as morning meeting, positive discipline, classroom jobs, and developing problem-solving skills.
I believe it is very important to teach to each child's particular learning style in order to spark their desire to learn, be creative, and become a diligent, thoughtful worker. The curriculum I present incorporates multiple learning styles by being hands-on, collaborative, and project and theme based. Materials are presented in a way to engage all learning modalities: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile.
Teaching is a learning process, always unique to each and every classroom environment. The expectations that I have of my students to be dedicated, to have a growth mindset, be out of the box thinkers, problem solvers, and good citizens are what I have of myself. I thank Allah for the opportunity to teach and look to the example of the Ahlulbayt, their love, obedience, and Iman.
